First Friday Art Walk is Back!

Art Walk is a free event and takes place the Friday of each month from September through May. Located within Ocala’s historic downtown, available are free family art activities ( by the Appleton Museum of Art, Painting with a Twist, Marion County Public Library, Karate America Ocala, Animis Foundation and the Discovery Center. ) , extended shopping hours for the downtown shops, and live exhibits from local artists.

The First Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Ocala Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include the following special performances and activities:

 

In the early evening from 6pm to 9pm, there will be performances by Macey  Mac, who is a 13 year old artist who’s music style is that of LeeAnn Rimes, Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin.

Performances by Belly Artist Dance Studio will include modern style dance routines, belly dancing with swords, hula hoops, fire props and fire breathing ( oh my! ).

Local artists will be working throughout this event creating artwork, portraits and caricature drawings on-site. Additional art activities will be available at Ocala Homes and Farms Realty located at 108 E Fort King St.
