Canceling Your Ad
At
the top of every page you will find a link to place an
ad on our site. Clicking that link will send you to a
page that looks like this. Next, click on "Place a FREE
Classified" or "Place a Business or Breeder ad"
depending on what type of ad you need to place.
If you are not sure which
type ad of you are placing,
read our guidelines
for what qualifies as a paid ad. If you still have
a question, call our office or place it as a free ad and
we will contact you if your ad requires the business rate.
Placing Your Ad
Whether placing a business rate ad or a free ad,
you will start by selecting a category.
First select your primary category.
Then select your secondary
categoy.
Lastly, select the category your ad will appear in.
If
placing an ad at the business rate, click the "Place Business Ad" button
in the bottom right corner.
Feel free to look around to make certain you have selected
the best category. Our ad approvers will do their
best to see that is moved to the most appropriate
category.
Step
1: Enter your email
address.
Remember that email addresses do not start
with www.
Although
your email address will be hidden from the users
of this site, we recommend using a free email account
from Yahoo, Gmail, Etc. When you reply to a response
to your ad, that person will see your email address.
Step 2: Verify your eamil address by
re-entering it exactly the same.
It is very important to type
this correctly. You will be unable to update
your ads if it is incorrect.
Step 3: Enter a valid phone
number.
Step 4: Type your ad here.
You have 500 characters. Be sure to include features
that people will find most interesting. There is
no need to include the phone number of email address;
they will be automatically added. Don't forget
to include the price. Example: $105,900.
You can see how your ad will
look in the preview box below. Now is a good time to
check the spelling.
Step 5: Select how many months you would like to run the
ad. Adding a photo ad will allow you to run a free ad
up to three months.
Step 6: Photos are the most
requested item people ask for when responding to
ads. Photos can be .jpg and will be resized to
550 pixels wide. They
must be less than 1024 pixels wide and the file must
be smaller than 2MB.
Ads with a photo will appear in rotation on our homepage.
Step 7: Weblinks link to another webpage. A link to your
email is automatically included.
Step 8: If you have a coupon, enter
the coupon code as it appears. Coupon codes
are case sensitive. Coupon codes are often
given out in our newsletter.
Step 9: You may place your ad in the
Senior's Voice newspaper for just $6.00 more. Ad's will not include
weblinks, photos, or any styles. Your ad will run
at next publication.
Discounts do not apply.
Step 10: Join our Newsletter. By joining
our newsletter you will recieve a monthly email
newsletter highlighting the best photos, odd ads
or cool classifieds. We often give out coupon codes
in our newsletter and have contests for movie tickets.
Plus you will find helpful information for getting
the most out of your ad.
Next select features to grab
people's attention.
Colored Borders help your ad stand out
from the rest.
Deluxe Styles go a step further and give your ad
a contrasting background.
Super Cool Styles are borderswith animation. Watch for seasonal
and novelty styles.
No Style ads are free and the first line of the
ad is in Boldface type.
Before you can submit your ad, you must
read the warning about scammers who patrol Internet
classified sites. For more informtion about safe

Click the "Finish My Classified" button.

Next, you will see "Step 2: Complete Your Order."
If you
added a photo to your classified, you will see sample of your photo.
If you need to make any changes to the ad
text or premium features, click the "Modify
My Ad" button. You can reselect the category by
clicking the "Change Category" button.
Click the "Publish My Classified"
button.
If you have selected
premium features, you will be prompted for billing
information.
Select the type of credit card.
Enter the Cardholder name as it appears on the card.
Enter the card number with no spaces.
Select the expiration date.
Enter your credit card's security code. Click
here for a picture.
Enter the billing address for the credit card.
This is the same address as where the bill is sent.
You may change the billing
phone and billing email
at this time.
When all is entered correctly, click
the "Complete Payment" button.
Updating Your Ad
Check your email. A short email from
Ocala4sale.com should be waiting for you. It includes a
copy of your ad.
Be sure to hold on to this email. This email will
allow you to update or cancel your ad.
About half way down, there is a long
Editor Link allows you to
edit your ad.
If you lose this email another editor link
can be sent to you. Click
here to re-send your confirmation e-mail.
OR
Contact our customer
service department. Be sure to include the
phone number or email address used in the ad.
Look
it's your ad! Now you can make changes to it.
If you click "Submit Revised Ad" your ad will be taken
off the website until it can be approved again. It
usually doesn't take more than a day.

Canceling Your Ad
If
you click "Cancel This Ad,"
you will be taken to a feedback page that looks like
this. Select whether your ad was successful, sold
elsewhere, withdrawn, or dissatisfactory.
